Site evaluation and drainage planning to keep water moving away from your foundation
A well-built patio gives your family a place to gather, grill, and relax without ever leaving home. Heath Construction designs and builds custom patios across Wartrace and Middle Tennessee, matched to your home’s style and your family’s routine.
Patio construction is one of the most affordable ways to add usable outdoor living space to your Wartrace or Middle Tennessee property. Whether you’re picturing a simple paver patio off the back door or a larger stone patio built for entertaining, we handle the grading, base preparation, material selection, and finish work needed for a patio that lasts.
Every project starts with a look at your lot, your drainage, and how you plan to use the space. From there we recommend a layout and material that fits your home, your budget, and the way your family actually spends time outdoors.
Many homeowners pair a new patio with a patio cover installation, turning an open slab into one of the shadiest, most usable spots on the property. We size and frame these covers to match your home’s roofline so the finished result looks original to the house.
Every patio we build starts with sound groundwork and ends with a surface that holds up to Tennessee weather.
Here’s what a typical patio project includes:
A patio built by an experienced residential construction company does more than fill space in your backyard. Here’s what homeowners in Wartrace and across Middle Tennessee gain when they build with us.
Middle Tennessee’s mix of clay soil, seasonal rain, and hot summers means a patio needs the right base and materials to hold up long term. We build a compacted gravel foundation under every patio to prevent the shifting and cracking that comes from poor prep work, keeping your Wartrace patio solid for years to come.
Material choice matters too. Poured concrete offers a clean, budget-friendly finish, while pavers and natural stone give homeowners more design flexibility and a higher-end look. We’ll walk you through the tradeoffs in cost, maintenance, and appearance so you choose the right fit for your property and your budget.
We also account for existing trees, slope, and your home’s architecture when planning the layout. A patio should look like it was always meant to be there, not like an afterthought bolted onto the back of the house.
